Rain water Recovery
Rain water recovery or better known as rain water harvesting are gaining popularity in this region. This natural resources if untapped, just flows into drain and subsequently into the river. Rain water though considered not potable in many countries have many uses and such as landscaping, general cleaning, flushing of WCs etc.

Even though the usage is not portable, care should be taken to ensure that the rain water poses no threat to the well being of any person handling or using this water. With that in mind, a proper filtration method would suffice.
Graded silica sand
Silica sand of different sizes is often used in filtration for the reduction of suspended solids in filtration process. It is also used as support media in gravity fed or pressurized filtration systems. Silica sand is grade according to their sizes. The available sizes classified as follows in 50 kg packings.

- Semi fine sand : 0.6 mm ~ 1.2 mm
- Coarse sand : 1.2 mm ~ 2.4 mm
- Pebbles : 2.4 mm ~ 4.8 mm
